Merlys bucks the trend with their 2021 double-Good News announcement 

…Day 1 of month 2 of 2021 and Merlys Founder and Senior Partner, Verena Charvet announces not just one, but two exciting new developments. 

1. Merlys’ broadens its Offering via an Association with Merali Beedle

The Practice is delighted to have agreed on an association with the prominent west London-based firm Merali Beedle.

An agile firm specialising in all things regulatory for the funds and asset management industries, Merlys expands its scope of service considerably with this association. Now, via Merali Beedle, Merlys clients can benefit from additional legal services such as property, employment, company and commercial plus advice on contentious matters to complement the ‘all things regulatory’ advice Merlys already delivers.

Similarly, Merali Beedle adds a further centre of regulatory expertise to their offering via the Merlys association.

2. The Merlys Team expands

We are delighted to welcome André Wint who joins us as a Consultant.

A barrister by training and with over 12 years’ experience working as an in-house asset management lawyer, André has proven to be highly versatile in developing the range of areas on which he advises.  As a result of his experience and his work ethic, André is able to take on a variety of matters and see them through to successful completion.

With expertise sitting firmly within the funds and asset management sectors, and experience working with a variety of fund vehicles (including UCITS and AIFs), he has advised international asset managers including Invesco, M&G (formerly part of the Prudential group) and Insight Investments (a boutique firm within the BNY Mellon group).

André’s client-advisory work covers multiple business areas including:

• front office investments (e.g. listed, unlisted, private placements)
• trading and institutional sales
• regulatory change implementation (e.g. MiFID I & II and AIFMD)
